Amanda Jordan is a country singer songwriter from Smiths Falls Ontario Canada. Amanda uses the power of music to shine light on important issues such as supporting those with mental illnesses, children with illnesses and the importance of healthy relationships. Amanda could not wait to move to Nashville and made the move in January while completing the last semester of her music degree online. Since her move to Nashville she has been busy writing, making demos, performing on Songbird Tours and playing in writer’s rounds.
In 2018, one of Amanda’s songs was selected as a top 6 finalist in the Canadian Songwriting Competition and in 2016 and 2017 Amanda was a top ten finalist in the Ole On The Spot Red Dot songwriting competition in Canada. Amanda was cast in a made for TV movie called “Revenge of The Daughter” where she played her music live and in 2018 she was selected to open for Brett Kissel in Sudbury.
One of Amanda’s passions is teaching and playing music for special needs and autistic children and adults. During the last year in Canada she was able to work part time doing this while finishing her degree. She found it to be a very rewarding and moving experience and fell in love with all her students. Their musical talents and appreciation for music were amazing.
