Hailed as a “rising star of the indie music scene,” by Entertainment Tonight and “refreshingly unassuming” by Pitchfork, Hayley Taylor has an unmistakable new voice full of passionate intensity. Her music has been featured in numerous commercials, films, and TV shows, including How I Met Your Mother, Pretty Little Liars, Rush, Royal Pains and MTV’s Real World.
Collaborating with producers like Dan Romer (Shawn Mendes/Ingrid Michaelson), John Morrical (Santigold, Charli XCX, Christina Aguilera), Rich Jacques (Lisa Loeb), and Anthony Burulcich (The Bravery, Morrissey), Taylor experiments with shimmering electronics and fiery drumbeats to create a landscape of dreampop on her forthcoming sophomore album.
Taylor’s debut album, One Foot In Front of the Other, was produced by Dan Romer and Eric Robinson (Sara Bareilles). It featured an all-star cast of players, including Adrienne Woods (Ariana Grande, John Legend) on cello, Elliot Jacobson (Verite, Elle King) on drums, and Chris Kuffner (Ingrid Michaelson) on bass.
Taylor was born in Michigan, but raised in Los Angeles. She was classically trained in piano from the age of four, but it was not until she learned to play guitar in college that she realized music was her true passion. She is also an actress and painter.
