Where are you from?
I was born and raised in a small town called East Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
Who are your musical influences?
Growing up I listened to my mom’s Shania Twain and Faith Hill cassette tapes, so it’s no surprise I formed a deep love for country music at a young age. I’d say my biggest influences have been Taylor Swift, Kelsea Ballerini, Maren Morris, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, and any female singer-songwriter that performs on “Song Suffragettes” night at the Listening Room in Nashville. I’m always drawn to artists who sing, have a hand in writing their own lyrics, and can play an instrument as well. Aside from country music, I’m a huge fan of Ed Sheeran, Demi Lovato, and Lewis Capaldi.
Where do you get your inspiration?
I’ve come to find there is never a dull moment in my life, so I definitely pull inspiration for songs from my own personal experiences. A lot of times that can be from relationships, family members, people I meet on a daily basis, or when I’m attending a live show.
What are you currently working on?
Lots and lots of writing ! I’ve now been in Nashville officially a month, so currently I’m taking advantage of the co-writing scene and being mentored by professional songwriters at NSAI (Nashville Songwriter’s Association International). Being able to write with new people each week is my version of living in Disneyland. Once I narrow down my favorite songs I’ll definitely be looking to record again ! For now, you can keep an eye out on my Facebook page for upcoming show dates at songwriting rounds and stream my debut single “Little Love Confessions” on Spotify.
